Creative Music Studio™ Presents an intimate weekend gathering at Morfbeat’s (sound sculptor) studio in Denver, Colorado. Billy Martin (Medeski Martin & Wood) will demostrate his unique looping strategies, teach improvisation, guide group jam sessions, and share his philosphy on spontaneous composition, rhythmic harmony and much more.
Adam Morford aka Morfbeats will share his wide ranging musical inventions including his creayive process as a musician and as an inventor. His unique instruments have been used in film soundtracks, on stage, and recording studios around the world.
This workshop is open to anyone willing to participate or just watch and listen. Each 6-hour-session is limited to 15 people per day (Saturday and Sunday Novermber 13th and 14th). Bring your instruments or let Adam and Billy provide you with their own instruments.
Instruments provided at Morfbeats Studio : grand piano, Hammond organ, vibraphone, marimba, large balaphone, giant Marvins, percussion table set-ups and some guitar and bass amps.
You must test negative for Covid at least two days before the session, bring a mask and practive safe distancing during the workshops.
